Air Travel

Reagan National Airport (4.5 Miles/7.2 KM to Hotel | Map it) Reagan National Airport is the closest to the Conference Hotel.

Taxi fare from this airport is typically $19USD. Those traveling in a group, within the same taxi, to the same destination are charged one fare, not $19 per person.  Subway/Rail fare is $4USD.

Washington Dulles International Airport (28 Miles/45 KM to Hotel | Map it)

Taxi fare from this airport is typically $55USD.  Currently, a rail system is not in place for this airport into downtown Washington.

Baltimore Washington International Airport (38 Miles/45 KM to Hotel | Map it)

Taxi fare for this airport is typically $65USD.  Rail travel into Washington, D.C. is available for $6.50USD. 

Discounted Air Travel Via United

CIES has partnered with United Airlines to provide a discount on air travel.  The program will provide a discount if 20 or more attendees book a flight using the below information.  If you plan to use United as your airline, please book your air travel using the below information. If the 20 attendee minimum is reached a discount will be applied to your fare.  

US 50 States and Canada Customers: Call your professional travel agency, book online via united.com or call United Reservations Meetings Desk at 800-426-1122 and provide the Z Code ZT8Y and Agreement Code 644218.  For all tickets issued through United Meetings Reservation Desk, there will be a $25 per ticket service fee collected.  This fee is subject to change without notice.  Such service fee is nonrefundable and applies to all itineraries, one-way or round trip. 

Customers outside the US 50 States and Canada: Call your professional travel agency, book online via united.com or email groupmeetings@united.com and provide your preferred itinerary, agreement code 644218 and Z Code ZT8Y.  Please allow 24 hours for email requests to be processed.  

Reservations booked online via united.com will receive an additional 3% discount without a service fee.  Enter both your Z Code and Agreement Code, without a space, in the Offer Code Box.  The additional 3% discount applies to published fares only and excludes travel to/from Europe, Middle East, Africa, and India.

Discounted Travel via Amtrak

Amtrak is offering a 10% discount off the best available rail fare to (Washington, DC) between (March 05, 2015 – March 16, 2015) for all CIES Conference Attendees. To book your reservation call Amtrak at 1 (800) 872-7245 or contact your local travel agent.

Conventions cannot be booked via Internet. Please be sure to refer to Convention Fare Code X11U-913 when making your reservation. This offer is not valid on the Auto Train and Acela Service. Fare is valid on Amtrak Regional for all departures seven days a week, except for holiday blackouts. Offer valid with Sleepers, Business Class or First Class seats with payment of the full applicable accommodation charges.

CIES has secured a discount on Super Shuttle for conference attendees.

Discounts include $2 off one way; $5 off round trip to/from Dulles and BWI, $1 off one way and $3 off round trip to/from DCA.
